Cinnabar stood up and stretched out his long red back and then shook off the dust. Then he looked around him a saw some sweet clover by an old Oak tree, at this he pricked up his ears and began to walk toward the patch. He lowered his nose to the ground to sniff the clover. Cinnabar used his lips to pull up the clover out of the ground and chewed and savored the honey like taste. He lifted his head and looked up at the sound of a songbird up in the Oak. He continued to munch on the clover as he listened to the songbird singing out a beautiful song. After he finshed eating on the sweet clover he turned around and faced the wide open field, his ears pricked forward, he wondered what was over the rolling hill covered in clover and dandelion. Suddenly he pushed himself forward with his rear legs and took off into a fast canter over the hill. He slowed over the top to a swift trot and then made his way to the bottom of the grassy easy slope. He stopped and looked around and saw a small brook in front of him. He made his way over to the brook and lowered his nose into the cool water and took a couple of drinks from the brook and then lifted his nose as the water dripped off his lips. He then began to look for a place to lay down, he saw a patch of fine grass and wondered over to it. He came down on his front legs and then lowered his rear legs until he was completely laying down then he closed his eyes and lowered his head onto the soft cool grass and fell asleep.
